I've been so ungodly busy I haven't had time to update in, oh, a while.
Bucko is now off to school! His first day was last week, and he did really well. I was so excited for him. He's in the Spec Ed class, which is good because the teacher only currently has 3 children, and at most will have 7, so he gets the one-on-one he needs. An awesome part of him being Spec Ed is he gets picked up and dropped off by the bus every day-right in front of the house! At 7.20 we're out waiting on the bus to roll up, and by 2.45ish, my Bucko is back home. I really love not having to fight the traffic at the school.
Lil is standing! We've managed to get him to stand up on his own a few times, and he can do it as long as he doesn't try to look around, or he falls flat on his butt. No walking yet, but he does travel from furniture to furniture, so he's getting a walking toy for his birthday to help out.
Speaking of birthdays, Bucko turned 4 on the 10th! I can't believe my baby is a big boy now. He had fun at his little party-we just chilled at the house and I made him a gfcf cake and icing-which actually tasted like REAL cake.
We're having a big family party on Labor Day weekend in Lake Jackson, so for anyone wanting to come, please give me a heads up.
Chelation is working, lil man has been talking! The other day sitting with Ryan he said "Hawaii, my doggie", and when we went on a walk the other night, Lil dropped his cup, and he gave it back to him and called him "puppy". He's also told me "cook, cook" when I'm in the kitchen. Takes after his Dad.
Well I just wanted to post a quick update, I gotta pick up the house and get a few things done around here. Off to June Cleavering!

Lousyana School drama
Aaaaaaand I'm back. Been a while since I've had time to sit and actually write. That and something's up with my lap top key board, it bounces around the little blinky thing where your font comes from, and I end up writing in the middle of a sentance, or it randomly highlights areas and when I hit the space bar, it deletes what I wrote O_o
Back to updating, I spend most of this morning attempting to change the date for Quincy's IEP (Individualzed Education Plan-where it has exactly what they're going to work on him with). Since he didn't go to school last year (I'll vent on that cluster pluck later), he had his IEP done at the end of August. Problem with my current date for IEP-Aug. 27-is school starts next Friday, the 14th. I NEED to have his IEP done BEFORE he starts, not two weeks into school. So this morning I played- phone ring-around-the-rosie trying to find someone who could comprehend that all I need to do is CHANGE THE DATE for his IEP meeting. Somehow I got asked "who called you about his IEP", since someone calling me apparently has something to do with changing the day O_o No one has called, I got the info BACK IN MAY, they just told me I couldn't change anything until closer to school starting.
*frustrated mumbling*
I HATE the Lousiana school system, it's a back-asswads NIGHTMARE. I have 3 more months in this Hell Hole, and back to Texas where I can deal with a school system that's NOT number 47 in the nation, 3rd from the bottom! And not to mention the problems I've been having trying to find Quincy an ABA therapist. The only ones are out in Lake Charles, an hour and a half from here, and he's going to have to go every day. No OT in the area, either. Yay for Lousyana!
Now for some news on the boys.
Quincy is doing really well, the chelation looks to be working, he's stimming a lot less, and is trying to vocalize more. It's mostly "Quincy-ese", nonsense words he says to himself or when he's playing, but it's vocalizing. He's also listening and taking directions really well.
Hudson is pulling up on things and "walking"-like holding onto the couch and creeping down it. He jabber jabbers a lot, and just about everything is "cat" (his latest word). He has Momma and Dada down pat, working on "dog", and he waves bye-bye. He'll eat pretty much anything you give him, along with anything he can get his mitts on.
We're planning on going to the Ren Fest, most likely in October (and the last weekend, since that's when EVERYTHING is on sale). I'm excited, I LOVE Ren Fest, especially the excuse to dress up and put my theatre skills to work pretending to be someone else. I'm trying to figure out what to do for the boy's costumes, Ryan and I are "barbarians", mostly because there's really no where we fit in else where in the typical Ren Fest catagories.
That's about it for this ramble, I'm off to prep ribs for dinner and help Bucko pick up the lima beans he decided should "rain" in the living room.

Ears all clear
Yay, no ear infection! Doc said most likely since his sinuses are draining, it's creating pressure in his ears and that's why he's pulling/rubbing on them. Lil does have a cold, so two weeks of feelin doodie on top of teething for Momma.
I also really liked the doc, she didn't give me any flack about not having Lil vaccinated, at all, not even a side ways "one of THOSE moms" look. She has no idea how much I appreciated that, since every other visit the docs have been trying to tell me how important it is to vaccinate my child with brake fluid and aborted fetus tissue (info on what's in vaccinations HERE) If that doesn't creep you out, I'm not sure what will. I'm not keen on the idea of putting known TOXINS into my infant's body, especially when it's a swarm of 6 shots at some visits, and all that CRAP in his tiny body. Kiss my exceptionally white, day-glo neon clear ass.
Well, it's about time for bed, both the boys are KO'ed (at least for now, I have a strong feeling Lil will be up wanting snuggles in a few hours).

Firsts You'd Love to Skip
First broken bone, first trip to the ER, first cold, first ear infection, first pb and j sandwich shoved into the VCR...
And so with Lil, looks like we've reached our first summer cold and ear infection. Last night he kept waking up whining like he wasn't feeling well, and I had to sit in the rocker and cuddle him back to sleep. He keeps tugging and rubbing on his ears, so I'm suspecting an ear infection as well. Huzzah! Cranky baby and no sleep for me.
We have an appointment at the hospital at 2.30, so we'll see what's going on then. I'm honestly a little paranoid because this whole thing with Quincy started with some nasty ear infections as an infant. If we do have an ear infection, we're not doing antibiotics, I'm taking my happy hind end to the health food store for some OoO (oil of oregano), or making some oilve oil and garlic (drops for the ear), as a natural remedy since antibiotics kill off all the good bacteria and flora in your gut as well as your infection.
I'll re-post after his appt to see what the doc says.

Best $4 EVER
I'm a HORRIBLe impulse shopper, but this time, this $4 nab REALLY paid off.
Bucko is IN LOVE with these Craoyla Window Crayons.
We started with drawing his name...and that's all it took for him to go completely nuts over them and wear them down to a nub (thank God they self-sharpen by twisting back up lick lip-stitch!)
Lil even made his first doodle today with them!
On another note, we started chelation on Friday, seems to be going well.

*cue Wicked Witch of the West music*
So I get to come home to storms and what looks like is going to be superiorly NASTY weather.
Before I forget though, driving home from Papa's (thank God for the break on the drive back), I had to take a nice, scenic detour down Texas Chainsaw Massacre road thanks to some inbred butt hawk that decided to move their swap shack. Not kidding, I'm driving down LA8 to come into town, and there's a cop car blocking the road, and, what's that wide load? I stop to talk to the officer (who was nice and funny as hell), who tells me "Want a free house? You can have it if you can get it off my road". He then tells me the alternate route-a 30 mile detour-down a road that I'm sure was used for Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
Back to the weather-UGH. If I could throw something at the clouds, I would. I love rain storms, but I HATE tornado weather like Sunnis hate Shiites. The wind got up enough sent a few trash cans dancing down the street and the kid's wading pool flew up under the Suburban. Ryan ran to throw it in the garage and put up our camp chairs in off the porch. Ominous?-as he was putting one of the chairs up, Bucko's music truck played the Wicked Witch theme. Creeeeepyyyyyy.
Storm's fixing to roll in full force, I can see it coming in over the hill, so I'm gonna jump off here and watch it roll in.

Don't wanna!
Leavin the Big D tomorrow after a GREAT 10 day stay with my awesome sister and brother in law. Thanks so much for puttin up with us ^_^
Tomorrow is Q's last day of AIT, and so far, we've seen some good changes. At Chili's he was able to sit and chill and enjoy dinner instead of spazzing out from over stimulation (which used to ALWAYS happen).
We saw Transformers Monday, he sat through the whole movie in his own seat, and didn't cover his ears and start humming like he used to either! YAY!!!
We can drive with the windows down and he enjoys it now.
He's trying to vocalize more, mostly nonsensical Q things, but he was "talking" to Woody when he was playing with him the other day.
We're still seeing stimming, but the doc said that'll clear up with chelation (DMSA), and verbalizing will also follow rapidly.
Bucko starts chelation July 11, for a two month course. He does 3 days on, 4 days off since chelation does pull the good minerals out (it's a chemial reaction-that's how it happens), so on the off days, he gets double his supplements and a special mineral suspension so his body keeps what it needs.
Back to Dallas...NOT looking forward to going back to Hillybilly Hell tomorrow. It's been great being able to get the Hell out of there and have a sort-of vacation. I'm going to Whole Foods tonight to stock up on a few things before we leave. I'm so insanely ready to move to San A and be done with Lousyana. Besides having a Whole Foods, SA has Sun Harvest, Central Market, and a slew of small health food stores, not to mention FARMER'S MARKETS!!! Is it sad I get excited over grocery shopping?
I'm off to go get a shower and get ready for Q's afternoon session and then to Toys R Us to get him a Discovery Learning View Master.

What Sundays are For
Newest thing I've heard in Conspiray Theory land: H1N1 and AIDS were man-made viruses designed for population control.
I'm definately going to look around at info on this and post a blog later about the craziness of Conspiracy Theories, and how plausible the "population control" idea is.
In other news, bbq today! Ryan's headed to the DFW Gun Show out in Mesquite for a bit, and when he gets back we have a ton of meat set for a bbq here at Josh and Jonna's. I'm making beans, I guess I should probably get those started as soon as I get off here. Kabobs, fajitas, and ribs set for today. Homemade bbq so Q can enjoy.
Lil is speed demon with crawling, he's doing full belly off the floor instead of Army crawl now, and that baby is FAST. He also LOVES the pool, I'll make sure to post some pictures of him and Q swimming later.
I gotta go hop in the shower and make myself human, so I'll be sure to post pics from the bbq and pool time later.

Summertime Blues
In the true form that is Nae, I'm not continuing last night's post.
Quick update:
AIT going well,
had fun at Chili's last night,
listing things on eBay is the bane of my existence,
old ladies shouldn't be allowed to wear STANKY perfume,
Willie Nelson is the shizzle.
(I have on XM on the tv, listening to the honky tonk station, and Blue Eyes Crying in the rain was on. Willie=AWESOME)
Made Ryan a cherry pie for his birthday yesterday (it's his favourite), very June Cleaver of me.
It's 103 outside, can't go swimming since Q had his LDA shot yesterday (no swimming for 3days-before, of, and after), so I'm stuck inside with Lil working on my eBay listings.
Saw something that made me want to throw my chancla at someone yesterday.
So while waiting for our table at Chili's, a lil girl, about 15, walks out with her boyfriend. WTF were her parents thinking letting her leave the house in butt-hugging shorts that made Daisy Dukes look like board shorts? And in 106degree weather, she was wearing UGGS. Uggs. WTF?!! Bad circulation? Diabeetus? For those of you that know me, Nae is not fashion concious, but even I know you don't don hooker shorts with Uggs in the summer in Texas. I managed to control the urge to peg the girl in the head with a well aimed chancla. Kids these days.
Back to Dallas...Ryan's got Quincy at his second appt for the day, I'm fighting ebay turbolister, and trying to keep Lil happy. It's been nice to hang out with the fambly up here and get the Hell out of Lousyana. I don't miss it, and I'm not happy about having to go back Friday.
I'm about brain dead so I'm off to find something to round up for lunch and feed the Lil.
PS-I may have repeated myself a few times, I'm frazzled and attempting to feed the grumpy 9mo as I write.

So AIT is going well, and awesome proof tonight. We went to Chili's for Ryan's bday dinner, and usually we have to take Q outside every 20mins or so for a short walk b.c all the noise overstimulates him and he'll cover his ears a lot. Tonight, we didn't have ANY issues! He didn't cover his ears once, didn't even start to have a melt down. I can't begin to tell you how excited I was, and for those of you that have been out to eat with us at a restaurant can understand.
I'm currently vegging out catching up on missed episodes of The Penguins of Madagascar. I refuse to grow up on some levels, and watching cartoons is one. I'm excited Ice Age3 is coming out and we get to take the boys when we get back to Lousyana.
I intended to write more, but I'm tired and stuffed from dinner, so I think I'm going to call it quits for now and finish my ramble tomorrow. Gonna go make friends with my wine and shoot the shit with my fambly.

Back in the Big D
In Dallas!
Dropped Sadie off with Kim in Waco, I know she's in good hands. Kim'll have fun spoiling her and taking care of the puppies til we go pick them up.
I'm currently working on uploading info to my Auctiva so I can get my ebay listings done. I LOATHE doing listings, but it's my new "job" so I'm gonna suck it up and get it over with. I want some spending money haha.
Boys were so glad to get out of the car after a 6hr drive. Lil's crawling all over the floor and Quincy's relaxing on the couch watching Spongebob.
We're going to bed pretty early, gotta get up at 6 to get outta here by 6.30 so we can make it to the dr's by 8-gotta love Dallas traffic.
It's time for a glass of Llano wine and chill time before I break the lap top since ebay is eating my listings.
Huzzah!

Thrift Store Day!

*crazy hair!*
Yes, Tues and Thurs are Thrift Store Days on post. Though the place is stifling hot even with several small a/c units running, it's time out of the house.
Today I'm Woody hunting. Quincy busted the head open on one of his Woody dolls, and I'm trying to keep back up. I've had almost no luck finding Buzz, but anything Toy Story is up for the taking today. I'm excited about TS3 coming out next year-a)I LOVE Toy Story and b)a new movie Q will LOOOVE and actually watch the entire thing.
While attempting to find a picture of the Woody Quincy broke, I found the mother load of Toy Story toys here. I've tried eBay, but just one used Woody is going for around $15-$20, not even with his hat!
Enough of that, I need to make myself breakfast (oatmeal) since the boys have eaten, and turn on Little Einsteins for Quincy.

Ready to roll
So next trip to Dallas to see Quincy's DAN! (Defeat Autism Now!) is coming up on Monday.
We've been going since January for bio-medical treatment (vitamins, supplements, diet change, ect.), and this go-round is for AIT (Auditory Integration Therapy), follow-up, and LDA (Low Dose Allergen) shots.
The AIT is to help with Quincy's hypersensitive hearing, as well as language with the ASD. 10 days of therapy, 30 mins each session, twice a day, 6hrs apart. So we go in eaaaarly at 8, do our session, get done at 8.30, go bum around Grapevine, and go back to finish the day. I'm tryin to get things figured out for what to do in between sessions.
On the 26th (Ryan's b-day and our 5yr anniversary) we have Q's LDA and follow-up. We should start chelation this visit also, as the doc said Q is about 6 months ahead of schedule with his healing and he hasn't seen very many patients recover this quickly (he did say Q was definitely a vaccine injury on our initial visit). So YAY!!! he's coming along execptionally well.
Lil (Hudson) is doing great, finally started belly off the floor crawling instead of low crawling (Army crawl). He is FAST, and has a talent for getting into everything (I think it runs in the family). We're currently battling a round of oral thrush with him, but have gained the aid of Gentian blue violet, which has earned him a very vibrant purple mouth, and drool.
I'm ready to get the Hell outta Dodge for almost two weeks-Sleazeville sn't exactly the most fun and exciting place to live. Not to mention Josh and Jonna have a salt water filter pool so Quincy can go swimming every day other than his 3 days of LDA-yay!

Das ist gud
Yay my first post to here!
So here's where I'm going to update, whine, post pictures, and rant about stuff going on in the fambly.
There will be updates on Quincy and his progress w/treatments, Lil and his happenings, and whatever else I happen to blabber on about for the day.
Just wanted an easier way than trying to email everyone and having hotmail eat my messages.
So that's it for now, but I'll be back soon enough.
